Eligibility for Membership
Lifetime Membership
Summit Federal Credit Union's policy is "Once A Member, Always A Member!" This
means that once you join the Credit Union, you retain your membership for as
long as you wish, no matter where you work or live.
To open your account at SFCU, you must deposit and maintain $50.00 in a regular
share account and pay a $5.00 membership fee. To join, simply complete the
Membership Application and return it to the credit union with your
check for $55.00 or more.
Joint Ownership
Any person you choose can be a joint owner on your account. However, joint
ownership by itself does not constitute membership.
Joint ownership does allow another person(s) to make deposits and withdrawals
on your account at any time. If you want a joint owner on your account, let us
know, and we will forward the necessary paperwork to you.
Those also eligible for membership include the following:
-
Spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of SFCU
-
Persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the employers below
-
Immediate family members of existing members, including: spouse, mother,
father, sister, brother, son or daughter
-
And organizations of such persons
Membership at Summit Federal is open to any employees or members of eligible
companies' and organizations. Click here to find out if
your company or organization is a member.
